About the Organization

A reputable Public Service Organisation is recruiting for a Director of Operations within the Internal Audit Agency.

Job Purpose

To assist the Deputy Director-General in ensuring conformity with standards in Internal Auditing within covered entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage activities in the Operations Department
• Supervise the review of quarterly internal audit reports from public institutions and provide feedback
• Provide direction for investigations and special audits assigned by management
• Offer technical guidance and support to internal audit staff in public institutions
• Ensure that risk management is embedded in divisional activities
• Submit draft monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on department activities
• Monitor the performance of subordinates
• Coach, mentor, and provide on-the-job training for subordinates

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution
• Post-graduate qualification in auditing, accounting, or a related field of specialization
• Certified membership with a recognised professional body (e.g., ICA, ACCA, CIA)

Required Experience

• Minimum 10 years of post-qualification relevant working experience in professional auditing or accounting in a reputable public or private organisation
• Minimum 5 years at senior management level in the public or private sector

Required Skills

• Computer literacy
• Ability to apply computer-aided techniques for auditing
