About the Role
The University of Media Arts and Communication (UniMAC) invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Director of Academic Affairs.
Position Summary
The Director serves as Head of the Directorate of Academic Affairs and is responsible to the Registrar. The Directorate implements academic policies and manages the University's academic programmes. Key responsibilities include overseeing student records, admissions, registration, time-tabling, examinations, graduation, results declaration, and transcript issuance. The Director will also manage and maintain a robust student information system.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement academic policies and manage the University's academic programmes
- Manage student records, admissions, and registration processes
- Oversee time-tabling and examination scheduling
- Manage graduation proceedings and results declaration
- Issue and verify academic credentials and transcripts
- Maintain and manage the student information system
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in a relevant area
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification senior-level experience, preferably in higher education
- Relevant experience in student records management, academic programmes, accreditation, admissions, time-tabling, graduation, and issuance and verification of academic credentials
- Previous service as Deputy Registrar, Deputy Director (with university administration experience), or equivalent role in a university or similar institution
- Minimum 5 years of service as Senior Assistant Registrar
