Deputy Director-General (Technical and Field Operations) at Internal Audit Agency

About the Position

A reputable Public Service Organisation invites applications from eligible individuals for the position of Deputy Director-General (Technical and Field Operations).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Advise the Director-General on technical and field operations issues
• Ensure the provision of quality assurance assessment in internal audit functions within public institutions
• Plan, monitor, and evaluate the implementation of the Division's programmes
• Facilitate the update of guidelines, standards, directives, and procedures for technical operations
• Submit monthly, quarterly, mid-year, and annual reports on the Division's performance to the Director-General
• Commission research into issues pertinent to the technical aspects of public sector internal auditing in consultation with the Director-General

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution
• Post-graduate qualification in auditing, accounting, or related field/specialization
• Membership in a professionally recognised body (e.g., ICA, ACCA, CIA)
• Minimum of 14 years of post-qualification professional working experience in auditing and/or accounting in reputable public and private sector organisations
• At least 5 years of experience at Senior Management level in the public or private sector
• Computer literacy with hands-on experience in contemporary computer-aided auditing tools
