Credit and Marketing Manager at Ada Rural Bank PLC

Job Summary

Ada Rural Bank PLC seeks a suitably qualified professional for the position of Credit and Marketing Manager. This role reports directly to the CEO and combines responsibility for monitoring the health of the bank's loans and advances portfolio with oversight of marketing and corporate branding activities.

The Credit and Marketing Manager will implement robust credit management and administration functions throughout the bank, while directly supervising the marketing officer to ensure effective execution of the Marketing Plan and brand visibility initiatives.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Advisor to the Management Credit Committee
• Provide ongoing credit management training to staff
• Manage relations with credit reporting agencies and credit insurance providers
• Recommend changes in credit policy to senior management
• Collect, register, maintain safe custody of, monitor, and submit regulatory reports on all collaterals
• Lead the processing of applications, approvals, and disbursement of all loans, overdrafts, and other advances according to board-approved limits and processes
• Lead loans and advances recovery activities
• Prepare and submit prudential or statutory reports
• Present periodic portfolio reports to management and the board
• Manage and supervise the marketing officer to deliver marketing activities and brand visibility

Qualifications and Experience Required

• First Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Banking, Economics, or related fields
• 5 years of experience in credit appraisal, monitoring, and recovery
• Master's Degree or full/part professional qualification in Banking or related fields (e.g., ACIB, CICM, CIMG) is an added advantage
