## Title: Company Secretary and Legal Advisor

About the Company

ASA Savings and Loans Ltd is a growing financial institution currently serving over 200,000 clients across nine regions in 123 business units.

Position Overview

We are seeking a suitably qualified professional for the position of Company Secretary and Legal Advisor based in Accra, Ghana. This is a full-time role reporting to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare relevant documents and organize Board of Directors meetings and Annual General Meetings
  • Advise the Board of Directors on matters of Corporate Governance
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a liaison between the company and its stakeholders and shareholders
  • Provide legal advice and respond to correspondence of a legal nature
  • Prepare, review, and modify contractual instruments to support business activities
  • Develop, review, and maintain policies and procedures for the smooth execution of company activities
  • Represent the company in all legal and contractual obligations when required
  • Prepare and submit relevant reports and documents to the Bank of Ghana, Registrar General's Department, and other stakeholders

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be a qualified lawyer as recognized by the Ghana Bar Association
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a similar position, preferably in a reputable financial institution
  • Excellent computing and secretarial skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team working abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
