Position Overview
The University of Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for appointment as Civil Engineer within the Physical Development and Municipal Services Directorate (PDMSD).
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Deputy Director, Physical Development, Planning and Transport, Physical Development and Municipal Services Directorate (PDMSD)
About the Role
The Civil Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure projects within the University of Ghana, including buildings, roads, drainage, and other campus developments. Working under the Deputy Director, Physical Development, Planning and Transport, the Civil Engineer will ensure that all projects meet the University's standards for quality, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
The role includes both on-campus and off-campus projects, requiring effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and University stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field of engineering
- Professional registration or certification (GHIE or IET-GH) and be in good standing
- At least 2 years post-qualification experience
