Chief Manager, Information Technology (IT) at National Development Planning Commission

Job Overview

Under the direct guidance and supervision of the Director, the Chief Manager, Information Technology provides leadership and administrative direction for the management and implementation of all IT-related programmes, projects, and activities at the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC).

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate work programmes, schedules, and timetables for the IT department
• Manage all network and server infrastructure of the Commission
• Design and develop procedures, standards, and guidelines to support ICT systems implementation within the organization
• Design and implement security measures to protect ICT installations, infrastructure, computer systems, and electronic data
• Oversee the development and implementation of customised systems and all computer-related activities
• Advise and recommend technical specifications for the requisitioning, procurement, and deployment of IT equipment, software resources, and ICT systems
• Advise the Director, General Services, and provide regular updates on IT department activities and issues
• Collaborate with the Director, General Services to organise IT-related training for staff
• Work closely with technical divisions to support and execute their respective work programmes
• Prepare periodic reports on all IT-related activities, projects, and issues
• Contribute appropriate inputs to support the preparation of NDPC's annual budget
• Ensure staff appraisals are carried out in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Director-General
