Job Overview

Under the direct guidance and supervision of the Director, the Chief Manager, Information Technology provides leadership and administrative direction for the management and implementation of all IT-related programmes, projects, and activities at the National Development Planning Commission.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate work programmes, schedules, and timetables for the IT department
• Manage all network and server infrastructure for the Commission
• Design and develop procedures, standards, and guidelines to support the implementation of ICT systems within the organization
• Design and implement security measures to protect ICT installations, infrastructure, computer systems, and electronic data
• Oversee the development and implementation of customised systems and all computer-related activities
• Advise on and recommend technical specifications for requisitioning, procurement, and deployment of IT equipment, software resources, and ICT systems
• Provide regular updates to the Director, General Services, on all IT department matters
• Collaborate with the Director, General Services, to organise IT-related training for staff
• Work closely with technical divisions to support and execute their respective work programmes
• Prepare periodic reports on all IT activities, projects, and issues
• Contribute appropriate inputs to support the preparation of the annual budget
• Ensure staff appraisals are carried out in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Director-General
