Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst at University of Ghana

Position Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst will join the Institutional Business Intelligence Unit and report to the Director of Institutional Research & Planning Office. This role leads efforts to identify reporting and analytic requirements across university departments and oversees the development and deployment of business intelligence solutions. The analyst will enable university units to make operational, tactical, and strategic data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Institutional Data Engineer to plan data pipelines, dimensional modeling, and define data specifications that meet business intelligence and analytics requirements
• Transform data into actionable insights using data analytics, data visualization, and data modeling techniques to help university managers and executives make informed operational, tactical, and strategic decisions
• Identify opportunities to modernize processes, drive business value, detect areas of revenue loss, and improve organizational efficiency through data-driven analysis
• Conduct requirements gathering across the university using interviews, workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, and scenario analysis
• Develop and conduct reviews of business intelligence and analytics requirements to ensure accurate interpretation of specifications
• Analyze and verify business intelligence requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to established standards
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to determine objectives and align analytical solutions with organizational goals
