About Our Operations
Newmont's Africa Operations manages two gold mining operations in Ghana:
- Ahafo Mine (Brong-Ahafo region)
- Akyem Mine (Eastern region)

Both mines have established Development Funds, with each mine contributing US$1 per ounce of gold sold and 1% of net pre-tax annual profit to community development initiatives.
