About the Role

Sanlam Insurance seeks an experienced Branch Manager to lead our retail channel. This role is pivotal in delivering sustained market growth through exceptional customer experience, enabling individuals and families to achieve financial confidence.

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for the leadership of the channel, driving market growth built on delightful and reliable customer experience while fostering a culture of confidence and financial security among our clients.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic initiatives to deliver retail market growth objectives
• Attract, train, support, and retain engaged and high-performing teams of advisors
• Ensure delivery of productivity budgets aligned with sales mix and key performance imperatives
• Build market pipelines, open new markets, and lead advisors to meet productivity targets
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, industry partners, and stakeholders to drive service improvements
• Provide decisive entrepreneurial leadership to build and sustain a culture of performance excellence aligned with Sanlam core values
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager

Required Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma qualification in Insurance from a recognised institution
• Degree or HND in Marketing, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field
• Master's Degree in Marketing, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field (advantageous)

Required Experience

• Minimum 4 years of managerial experience in the financial services industry
• Proven track record leading sales teams successfully
• Demonstrated professional and ethical standards
