Position Overview
The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) and the University of Cape Coast are implementing the TAGDev 2.0 Programme in Ghana. The programme aims to ensure that Africa's young people and their institutions drive inclusive, equitable, and climate-smart resilient socio-economic development in their societies.
RUFORUM is coordinating the programme with sponsorship from the MasterCard Foundation. A service agreement has been established to create the Agri-food Systems and Entrepreneurship Center (ASEC), which will serve as the TAGDev 2.0 Programme Coordinating Unit for the first five-year phase at the University of Cape Coast.
ASEC at University of Cape Coast is recruiting an Associate Programme Officer to operate from its office in Cape Coast and report to the Programme Coordinator.
Employment Details

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Programme Coordinator in the administration and technical delivery of the TAGDev 2.0 Programme
- Provide administrative support in selecting, recruiting, and building capacity for programme staff and scholars
- Establish partnerships with the private sector, technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions, and other organizations to advance university-community engagement and student training in entrepreneurship
- Support the Programme Coordinator and RUFORUM Secretariat team in mobilizing resources to support programme activities for scaling and supporting other partner universities
- Participate in monthly programme meetings
- Produce and share monthly and quarterly reports
