About the Organization
The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) and the University of Cape Coast have partnered to implement the TAGDev 2.0 Programme in Ghana. The goal of TAGDev 2.0 is to ensure that Africa's young people and their institutions drive inclusive, equitable, and climate-smart resilient socio-economic development in their societies. RUFORUM is coordinating the programme with sponsorship from the MasterCard Foundation.
About the Position
The Agri-food Systems and Entrepreneurship Center (ASEC) at the University of Cape Coast is establishing the TAGDev 2.0 Programme Coordinating Unit for the first phase of 5 years. We are recruiting an Associate Programme Officer to support programme operations from our Cape Coast office. This position reports to the Programme Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Programme Coordinator in the administration and technical delivery of the TAGDev 2.0 Programme
- Provide administrative support in selecting, recruiting, and building capacity for programme staff and scholars
- Establish partnerships with the private sector, TVETS, and other institutions to advance university-community engagement and student training in entrepreneurship
- Support the Programme Coordinator and RUFORUM Secretariat team in mobilizing resources to support programme activities for scaling and supporting other partner universities
- Participate in monthly programme meetings
- Produce and share monthly and quarterly programme reports
