## Title: Assistant Procurement Manager
Job Summary
The successful candidate will join AirtelTigo's Supply Chain Department as an Assistant Procurement Manager. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will execute sourcing strategies and identify cost-saving opportunities to support the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all engaged suppliers are registered on the company's approved supplier list and manage the onboarding of new suppliers, including pre-qualification and due diligence requirements in coordination with the Chief Supply Chain Management Officer or Procurement Manager
- Maintain a continuous, effective, and efficient procurement process for all company goods and services
- Negotiate competitive terms across cost, delivery timescale, and quality for all purchases
- Issue purchase orders (POs) and purchasing contracts in accordance with AirtelTigo's procurement policies, procedures, and processes
- Maintain organized filing and monthly tracking systems for all POs and contracts, providing status updates to relevant department heads and project leads
- Participate in the preparation of monthly reports, including commitments and cost analysis, and support Internal Control requirements and audit tasks
- Serve as the initial point of escalation for supplier-related issues
- Assist in the execution of relevant Internal Controls and perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Procurement & Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in procurement and/or related fields (preferably in telecommunications)
