About Our Africa Operations
Newmont's Africa Operations manages two gold mining operations in Ghana:
- Ahafo Mine (located in the Brong-Ahafo region)
- Akyem Mine (located in the Eastern region)
The operations also include near-mine exploration and development focus in Ghana to annually replace gold reserves, along with early-stage exploration programs in Ethiopia and Morocco.
