## Title: Accounts Clerk

About the Organization

The European Union (EU) is an economic and political partnership between 27 European countries, represented through more than 140 diplomatic representations known as EU Delegations. These delegations function similarly to embassies. The EU Delegation to Ghana's mission is to build a strong partnership with Ghana to promote Peace and Prosperity for People and protect the Planet.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Accounts Clerk for the Administration Section. The successful candidate will provide general accounting and administrative support to the section and may replace the Accountant during periods of absence. Responsibilities will be attributed based on the needs of the Delegation.

Location

Delegation of the European Union to Ghana, The Round House, 81 Cantonments Road, Accra, Ghana

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general accounting support to the Administration Section
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned
  • Cover for the Accountant during absences

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum HND (Higher National Diploma) in Accountancy or similar qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience performing accounting tasks
  • Previous work experience in an international organization

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Accurate, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Strong planning and time management skills
  • Fast learner with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Responsible and responsive
  • Fluent English (oral and written, C2 Level)
  • Proficiency in at least one local language
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Spreadsheet and database management skills
