Our work focuses on addressing key challenges faced by farming communities, including lack of training and technology, inadequate inputs, limited access to finance, climate change vulnerability, and poor market linkages.

In partnership with Forest of the World (FOW), Farm Africa is implementing a project titled "Improved forest conservation and protection of biodiversity through enhancing the viability of participatory forest management system in Dello Mena, Gura-Dhamole and Harena Buluk woredas of Bale zone, Oromia region."

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team as a Woreda-Based Community Development Officer. You will be responsible for supporting communities and stakeholders to improve forest conservation and protection of biodiversity through enhanced viability of participatory forest management (PFM).

Position Details

• Project: EVPFM (FOW)
• Reports To: Project Coordinator
• Location: Delo Mena and Harena Buluk Woreda
• Duration: Until 31 December 2026, with a probation period of 60 working days
• Extension: Potential extension subject to funding availability
• Salary: GBP 493 per month
