Warehouse Manager - Komari Beverage, Addis-Abeba

About the Role

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of all Komari Beverage warehouses in Addis-Abeba, ensuring that stock levels are maintained at approximately one week's supply and that operations are conducted efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong leader with a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of warehouse management.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Level Management

• Monitor inventory levels across all warehouses to ensure a consistent supply of approximately one week's stock, adjusting as needed based on sales forecasts and trends
• Coordinate with the supply chain department to ensure timely restocking and efficient order fulfillment
• Implement and maintain inventory management systems to track stock levels, deliveries, and dispatches

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of all warehouses, ensuring procedures are followed for receiving, warehousing, and shipping
• Implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient space utilization and optimal operational flow within the warehouses
• Develop and enforce safety standards in compliance with legal regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees

Team Management

• Lead, manage, and train warehouse staff, including warehouse supervisors and operatives, ensuring a high level of competence and adherence to operational guidelines
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify areas for improvement, providing coaching and development opportunities as needed

Quality Control

• Ensure that goods stored in the warehouses are preserved in the best possible conditions and that handling procedures minimize losses and damages
• Implement quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of stock and the accuracy of inventory records

Budget Management

• Prepare and manage the budget for warehouse operations, including staffing, equipment, and maintenance costs
• Monitor expenditure and ensure cost-effectiveness in all warehouse operations
