Supply Chain Assistant – Warehouse/Fleet

Danish Refugee Council is one of the world's leading humanitarian NGOs. We are seeking a highly qualified Supply Chain Assistant – Warehouse/Fleet for our operations in the Dollo Ado Field Office.

Overall Purpose of the Role

Under the direct management and daily supervision of the Supply Chain Officer, the Supply Chain Assistant will support the management of stocks, supplies, assets, fleet, and inventory within the Dollo Ado Area Office. The role involves assisting with procurement, inventory management, asset tracking, and ensuring that operational and safety procedures are consistently followed to support the smooth functioning of DRC programs.

Key Responsibilities

Stock and Warehouse Management

• Maintain an up-to-date daily tracker of all DRC stock under the supervision of the Supply Chain Officer
• Share the stock tracker weekly with all staff and keep requestors informed of Program supplies status in the Warehouse/Store
• Receive stock to the DRC Warehouse/Store Rooms and ensure correct storage procedures
• Conduct regular warehouse and storage checks to ensure stocks and supplies remain undamaged and undertake maintenance as required for safe storage
• Release stock from DRC Warehouses and Store-Rooms to staff at the direction of the Supply Chain Officer or Area Manager, using appropriate documentation with necessary approvals
• Oversee daily workers in loading and unloading of stocks and supplies under the supervision of the Supply Chain Officer and following DRC procedures
• Arrange transport of supplies and stock to field locations in coordination with the Supply Chain Assistant (Procurement) and using appropriate documentation

Asset Management

• Maintain an up-to-date monthly tracker of all DRC assets under the supervision of the Supply Chain Officer
• Release assets to staff at the direction of the Supply Chain Officer or Area Manager using appropriate documentation
