## Title: Senior Cost and Budget Accountant
Position Overview

- Reports to: Cost Accounting and Budget Administration Team Leader
Key Responsibilities
Cost Accounting and Reporting
- Oversee and manage the preparation of cost accounting reports, including standard costing, job order costing, and process costing
- Maintain and update cost systems and records, ensuring accurate allocation of costs for materials, labor, and overhead
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management, summarizing cost performance, variance analysis, and cost trends
Cost Analysis and Variance Reporting
- Perform in-depth analysis of cost variances by comparing actual costs to budgeted or standard costs, identifying root causes of discrepancies
- Analyze cost data to support pricing decisions, inventory management, and product profitability
- Provide actionable insights to senior management on cost control and improvement opportunities
Cost Control and Optimization
- Monitor and track key cost drivers within the organization, recommending and implementing cost-saving measures to improve operational efficiency
- Support initiatives to reduce waste, improve resource utilization, and optimize supply chain and production costs
- Implement strategies to maintain or reduce costs while ensuring quality and performance standards
Budgeting and Forecasting Support
- Assist in the preparation and management of budgets and financial forecasts
