Planning and Supply Chain Manager

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Yetem Trading PLC. The Planning and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain planning process, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely availability of materials and finished products to meet production and customer demand.

Purpose

This role involves strategic demand forecasting, inventory control, production scheduling, supplier relationship management, and logistics coordination. The manager leads a team of planners, coordinates cross-functional supply chain activities, and drives continuous improvement to optimize operations aligned with company financial and service objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated supply chain strategies encompassing demand forecasting, inventory management, production planning, and logistics
• Lead and coach the supply planning team to ensure accurate demand forecasts and supply plans aligned with business goals
• Manage demand forecasting processes using advanced analytical tools and collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to align forecasts
• Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and prevent stockouts
• Plan production schedules (MPS) considering capacity constraints and material availability to meet customer delivery commitments
• Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, linking demand forecasts to supply plans and financial targets (revenue, gross profit, working capital)
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure best pricing, quality, and delivery performance
• Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to ensure reliability and compliance
• Identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions
• Coordinate with logistics providers to streamline shipping operations, improve delivery accuracy, and reduce freight costs
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
