About the Organization
HUNDEE - Oromo Grassroots Development Initiative is a local non-partisan, not-for-profit, and secular charity organization established in April 1995. The organization envisions a just world where women, men, boys, and girls live in dignity and prosperity through various development and community education interventions.
HUNDEE has secured funding support for the implementation of a family-focused HIV prevention, testing, care services, and interventions project for vulnerable children across multiple towns in Oromia National Regional State, including Adaba, Adola, Bule-Hora, Negele Arsi, Odo-Shakiso, Shakiso, Shashemene, Yabello, Becho, Burayu, Woliso, Kofele, and Dire (Mega).
The project aims to strengthen local HIV epidemic control so that 95% of individuals living with HIV know their status, 95% of persons living with HIV initiate antiretroviral therapy, and 95% of clients on antiretroviral therapy achieve viral load suppression.
Position: Office Driver
Job Summary
HUNDEE seeks a dedicated and responsible driver to transport staff, guests, and donations while ensuring the safety of children under the organization's care. This role is integral to supporting HUNDEE's mission of providing care to vulnerable children and families. The driver will operate the organization's vehicles safely, adhering to all traffic regulations, and assist with logistical tasks such as airport pick-ups and document deliveries. Knowledge of minor vehicle maintenance is required.
Required Education and Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid 3rd-grade driver's license
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years driving experience
- At least 2 years experience in an NGO setting
Skills and Personal Qualities Required
- Strong driving skills with safety focus
- Knowledge of minor vehicle maintenance
- Responsible and dedicated approach to work
