Job Summary

Assist the Clinic Doctor in planning, organizing, and coordinating clinic activities. Ensure the provision of adequate preventive and curative health care services, with focus on sexual and reproductive health (SRH). Maintain availability of adequate medical supplies and equipment. Provide care to women during prenatal and postnatal periods, including diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive tract. Examine clients for gynecological and related problems, order laboratory tests, prescribe contraceptives and medications, and participate in training activities.

Responsibilities & Tasks

• Assist the Clinical Manager in planning, organizing, and coordinating clinic activities
• Plan individual activities and review performance
• Direct and undertake duties and responsibilities of clinical, public, and environmental services
• Screen clients, examine, and counsel on integrated and comprehensive SRH services (Family Planning, Maternal and Child Health, HIV/STI, Comprehensive Abortion Care, and other SRH services)
• Diagnose, examine, and monitor clients for different SRH problems
• Order laboratory tests and examinations
• Prescribe contraceptives and other medications
• Provide integrated and comprehensive SRH services (Family Planning, Maternal and Child Health, HIV/STI, Comprehensive Abortion Care, and other SRH services)
• Insert and remove IUCD, Norplant, and assist doctors in voluntary surgical contraception
• Refer clients to consulting doctors as required
• Assist in the training of professionals in Reproductive Health/Family Planning
• Provide Comprehensive Abortion Care (CAC)
• Maintain quality SRH services
• Prepare service statistics and participate in research activities
• Assist in requisitions of supplies and medications
• Prepare lesson plans and deliver lectures in family planning
• Provide guidance and counseling to health personnel from hospitals, health centers, clinics, and other health institutions
• Impart and demonstrate practical training in family planning
