Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all import and export activities of the company
• Prepare and process import/export documentation in compliance with customs and government regulations
• Handle communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs officials
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Prepare proforma invoices, purchase orders, and follow up on payments
• Ensure proper classification, valuation, and documentation of goods for customs clearance
• Manage letter of credit (LC) processes and other payment terms
• Monitor and update shipment schedules and provide regular reports
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws and local regulations
• Handle insurance documentation and claims related to shipments
• Maintain accurate records of all import and export transactions using spreadsheets and data management systems
• Calculate duties, taxes, and other charges related to shipments
• Negotiate freight rates and shipping terms with service providers
• Coordinate transportation and delivery of goods to warehouse or final destination
• Resolve issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments
