Job Summary
The Out-Patients & Employees Cafeteria Service Supervisor oversees daily food service operations for out-patients, visitors, and staff within the hospital cafeteria. This role ensures high-quality customer service, food safety compliance, efficient workflow, and adherence to hospital policies and healthcare dietary standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Supervision
- Supervise cafeteria staff during assigned shifts
- Coordinate food preparation and service for out-patients, visitors, and employees
- Monitor food display, portion control, and presentation standards
- Ensure timely replenishment of food items and supplies
Patient & Customer Service
- Ensure courteous and professional service to out-patients and guests
- Address and resolve customer complaints promptly
- Maintain a welcoming and clean dining environment
- Assist patients with special dietary needs when required
Food Safety & Compliance
- Enforce food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP guidelines)
- Ensure compliance with hospital infection control policies
- Monitor proper food storage, temperature logs, and hygiene practices
- Conduct routine cleanliness inspections
Staff Management
- Train, mentor, and evaluate cafeteria staff
- Prepare work schedules and assign duties
- Monitor attendance and performance
- Promote teamwork and positive workplace culture
Inventory & Supplies
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate supply orders
- Minimize food waste and control costs
- Verify deliveries and maintain stock records
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily service reports
- Report operational issues to management
- Assist in budgeting and cost control tracking
