VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is a financial institution established under proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund currently operates across five Regional States of the country.

Position Overview

VisionFund MFI is seeking a Branch Manager for the Gibe Branch located at the South West Regional Office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong financial management skills, leadership capabilities, and experience in microfinance operations.

Major Responsibilities

• Manage overall portfolio growth and portfolio quality
• Verify client existence and creditworthiness of their business
• Chair the Branch Credit Committee (BCC) and participate in evaluating, approving, or rejecting loans within the level of discretion
• Ensure saving deposits and withdrawals are processed in accordance with organizational policies
• Coordinate growth areas and projections for loan disbursements
• Manage, coordinate, and supervise branch staff to ensure efficient and quality service delivery
• Oversee all branch operations and coordinate daily activities
• Plan personnel capacity, select new staff, and implement fair and equitable human resource management practices
• Conduct staff evaluations in accordance with management decisions
• Supervise economical use of material resources including generators, motorcycles, and vehicles; ensure timely maintenance and scheduled servicing
• Maintain high staff morale, identify capacity building needs, and ensure adequate and updated training is provided
• Undertake annual performance appraisals and develop staff development plans
• Ensure the branch maintains compliance with all organizational policies and procedures
• Implement policies, procedures, and internal controls at the branch level
• Make operational and financial decisions within the framework of existing regulations
