Job Title: Associate – Learning, Adaptation & Knowledge ManagementDepartment: MSP / Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Learning (MERL)Reports To: Manager – Learning, Adaptation & Knowledge ManagementDuty Station: Addis Ababa (with periodic field travel)Employment Type: Full-time Role PurposeThe Associate – Learning, Adaptation & Knowledge Management supports Kifiya’s efforts to translate evidence into usable learning, adaptive actions, and well-organized institutional knowledge. Working under the supervision of the Manager – Learning, Adaptation & KM, the role contributes to learning processes, development of learning products, basic applied research support, and operation of knowledge management systems, ensuring that learning is documented, accessible, and used to improve programs and inform decisions. The supervisor will also perform or lead any other related tasks as assigned by the position. Key Responsibilities1. Learning & Adaptation SupportSupport implementation of learning and adaptation plans across programsAssist in organizing and documenting:Pause-and-reflect sessionsAfter-Action Reviews (AARs)Quarterly and thematic learning reviewsCapture learning questions, insights, and agreed adaptation actionsTrack implementation of adaptation decisions and follow-up actions2. Development of Learning & Knowledge ProductsSupport development of learning and knowledge products, including:Learning briefs and synthesis notesThematic insight summariesProgram reflection and adaptation notesAssist in synthesizing findings from:Monitoring dataEvaluation resultsResearch studiesField and partner feedbackEnsure learning products are clearly written, evidence-based, and action-oriented3. Learning-Driven Research SupportSupport the Manager in learning-driven and adaptive research activitiesAssist with:Literature reviews and desk researchTool development and data collection supportBasic data cleaning and analysisHelp document research findings and link them to learning outputs4. Knowledge Management Systems & DocumentationSupport operation and maintenance of knowledge management systems (e.g. SharePoint)Organize, upload, tag, and archive:Learning productsResearch and evaluation outputsTools, methodologies, and datasetsApply documentation standards, naming conventions, and version controlSupport onboarding and access to knowledge resources for staff and partners5. Integration with Digital MERL SystemsSupport linking of learning and knowledge products to Digital MERL dashboards and datasetsAssist in tagging, metadata assignment, and traceability between evidence and learning outputsHelp identify gaps in documentation or knowledge capture6.
