About the Organization

Reach The Needy – Ethiopia (RTN-Ethiopia) is a child-focused, community-based, non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to supporting deprived, excluded, and vulnerable children in becoming productive, confident, and responsible citizens, parents, and leaders. RTN-Ethiopia works in partnership with organizations including ChildFund, CARE Ethiopia, PLAN Ethiopia, and UNICEF on various development and humanitarian programs.

RTN-Ethiopia has established a partnership agreement with PLAN Ethiopia to implement a sponsorship project intervention in Sidama Region (Dara Woreda Kebeles) and South Ethiopia Region (Wolaita Zone, Boloso Sore Woreda).

Education Qualification

• BA Degree in Accounting or Accounting & Finance
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance & Admin Head in ensuring all project expenditures align with approved budgets, donor guidelines, and organizational financial and procurement policies and procedures
• Process all financial vouchers with relevant supporting documents including invoices, receipts, application letters, and payment requests
• Verify primary financial documents for accuracy and completeness; ensure payment requests are approved by authorized personnel
• Code, post, and analyze financial transactions
• Supervise the cashier and control petty cash balances and cash receipt vouchers
• Maintain stock records for the finance department and reconcile with bin cards regularly
• Reconcile the organization's books of accounts with bank statements monthly and provide regular reports
• Ensure all unused official documents and vouchers are properly registered and maintained in sufficient quantity
• Participate in annual budget preparation and area strategic plan development
