Account Payable Team leader

Job Summary

The Team Leader will oversee and strengthen the Accounts Payable function by ensuring timely vendor payments, proper documentation, accurate reconciliations, and compliance with internal financial controls and company policies. This role requires strong leadership capability, financial discipline, and meticulous attention to detail to maintain efficiency and transparency in payment processing.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the Accounts Payable team
• Review and validate Weekly Aged Payables Summary before submission
• Ensure all payments are supported by complete and authorized documentation
• Coordinate with the Finance Manager to confirm fund availability
• Monitor cheque preparation, CPV approval, and payment execution
• Review weekly cheque movement and reconciliation reports
• Ensure timely system updates of payment status and cheque references
• Monitor outstanding appointments and unresolved payables
• Ensure strict compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Provide periodic reports and recommendations to management
