TSFP officer - World Vision Ethiopia, Addis-Abeba

About the Position

World Vision Ethiopia is seeking a TSFP Officer to be based in Addis-Ababa. The position holder will support woreda health offices and Primary Health Care Units (PHCUs) in implementing Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programs (TSFP) to address acute malnutrition among vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support woreda health offices and PHCUs in systematic nutrition screening, active case detection, and early referral of acute malnutrition cases
• Assist health facilities (Primary Hospitals, Health Centers, and Health Posts) in treating acute malnutrition among nutrition priority groups, particularly children under 5 and pregnant and lactating women (PLW)
• Ensure referral linkage services are provided in accordance with national protocol and SPHERE standards
• Support woreda health offices and PHCUs in piloting the Family MUAC approach
• Assist in procurement of gap-filling TSFP supplies, job aids, and anthropometric equipment for acute malnutrition management
• Coordinate with nutrition teams to ensure TSFP integration with Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) promotion and counseling
• Support mothers at Therapeutic Feeding Programs (TFP) in Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) sites
• Support planning and execution of project activities aligned with organizational goals and donor requirements
• Ensure effective and efficient implementation of project activities, meeting deadlines and achieving desired results
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and donor requirements
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project activities
• Support woredas and PHCUs in planning and conducting nutrition screening activities
• Ensure existence of functional referral pathways and linkages between communities and health facilities
• Promote availability of referral services and training of staff in nutrition screening and referral services
• Ensure health facilities and Front-line Delivery Points (FDPs) are equipped with minimum supplies needed for TSFP implementation
