Truck Driver (Kombolcha)

An established company is recruiting for the following position.

Support supply chain and logistics management activities by safely and efficiently and timely transporting goods and materials from one location to another through safe driving practices and behaviors.Operate commercial trucks, such as truck-trailers, delivery trucks, or tankers, in a safe and responsible manner. Follow all traffic laws and regulations, including speed limits, weight restrictions, and hours of service regulations.  Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.Properly load and secure cargo onto the truck, ensuring it is balanced and protected during transportation. Unload cargo at the destination, following proper procedures and safety guidelines.  Verify the accuracy of shipping documents and ensure the proper handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.Plan the most efficient and safe routes to reach the destination, considering factors such as traffic, road conditions, and delivery schedules.Use GPS systems, maps, and other navigation tools to navigate unfamiliar routes.Adapt to changes in routes or schedules due to unforeseen circumstances, such as traffic congestion or weather conditions.Comply with all applicable transportation laws, regulations, and requirements, including those related to hours of service, vehicle inspections, and cargo securement.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including logbooks, trip sheets, and fuel receipts. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and maintenance schedules.Interact professionally and courteously with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.Maintain effective communication with dispatchers, coordinators, and other team members to provide updates on delivery status and any issues encountered.Perform routine maintenance checks on the truck, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes.Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions immediately and follow the appropriate procedures for repair or replacement.Keep the truck clean and presentable, both inside and outside.
