## Title: Senior Human Resources Officer

About the Role

Breakthrough Trading S.C is seeking a Senior Human Resources Officer for our Addis Abeba office. This position plays a crucial role in managing all aspects of human resources operations, from recruitment and employee development to compliance and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Staffing

  • Identify and compile vacant positions in alignment with annual plans and budgets
  • Prepare internal and external job advertisements
  • Announce external vacancies and track candidate registrations
  • Conduct shortlisting of suitable candidates
  • Participate in candidate screening through interviews and entrance tests
  • Prepare and conduct examinations with the selection committee
  • Issue recruitment letters to selected candidates upon fulfillment of prerequisites
  • Identify internal candidates for vacant positions through transfer opportunities

Onboarding & Induction

  • Verify and complete employment formalities including employment forms, agreements, insurance forms, pre-employment medical examinations, pension forms, and guarantor documentation
  • Conduct induction programs for newly recruited employees

Performance Management

  • Follow up on timely completion of performance appraisals by different work units
  • Analyze performance appraisal results

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Facilitate and follow up on disciplinary cases and recommended measures
  • Manage staff retirement processes and ensure timely pension distribution
  • Facilitate employment contract termination
  • Ensure compliance with country proclamations and regulations

Benefits & Compensation

  • Assist in the administration of bonuses, salary increments, and other employee benefits
  • Facilitate staff medical insurance enrollment and administration
  • Facilitate staff loan processes in accordance with company policy

Training & Development

  • Undertake training needs assessments and identify target groups for training programs
  • Organize and coordinate training programs including venue arrangement, scheduling, and teaching aids
  • Compile statistical data on training and education provided and acquired

Administrative & Reporting

  • Draft and prepare correspondence and letters for employees and work units
  • Prepare quarterly, semi-annual, and annual progress reports
  • Participate in human resources planning and budget preparation
  • Prepare examination minutes for committee approval
