Senior Accountant - Milk and Honey, Addis-Abeba

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the company's accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting management with financial analysis, and supervising junior accounting staff. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership ability, and a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Perform timely bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Ensure proper tax calculation, filing, and compliance with applicable laws
• Support budget preparation and financial forecasting processes
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare management reports
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes
• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting procedures
• Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation
