## Title: Sales and Marketing Manager

About the Position

Marta Food Complex is seeking an energetic and experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to lead our marketing and sales operations. This is a dynamic role based in Bahir Dar with frequent travel to countryside locations throughout Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and control all marketing and sales activities including sales, market research, business development, public relations, advertisement, and customer service
  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies aligned with company targets and objectives
  • Identify new business lines and expansion opportunities for existing sales; prepare reports analyzing business alternatives with cost, profit, effectiveness, and risk assessments
  • Analyze sales data and investment opportunities to inform business decisions
  • Develop company goals, objectives, and performance standards for the marketing and sales department
  • Monitor actual achievements against goals and objectives; conduct regular performance reviews
  • Submit sales performance analysis and findings to supervisors with recommendations and proposals
  • Create performance indicators and evaluation techniques to assess subordinate performance
  • Conduct gap analysis between planned and actual sales results; provide findings and recommendations
  • Develop strategies to ensure business growth and profitability
  • Coordinate investment studies and oversee progressive expansion of products and services
  • Investigate and evaluate business opportunities; provide strategic advice on recommended actions
  • Coordinate the formulation of plan objectives and implementation strategies with subordinates
  • Propose strategies to address future challenges affecting business development and sales expansion

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sales and Marketing Manager or similar leadership role
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Willingness to travel frequently
