Purchaser - Breakthrough Trading S.C, Addis-Abeba

Position Overview

Breakthrough Trading S.C is seeking a Purchaser for our Addis Ababa office in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing items from appropriate suppliers at competitive prices, managing purchase requisitions, and ensuring efficient procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit markets to identify and obtain items from appropriate sources at fair prices
• Receive and process purchase requisitions, verifying approval, budget coverage, and specifications
• Collect proforma invoices from prospective suppliers based on the Company's purchasing manual
• Arrange stock delivery with selected suppliers
• Follow up on payment preparation and process payments in a timely manner
• Collect and receive selected goods in accordance with regularities and specifications outlined in offer analysis
• Arrange transport of items from suppliers' warehouses to the company store as per agreements
• Ensure all items are recorded in goods receiving notes before use
• Maintain comprehensive records of all purchases in register books
• Draw petty cash for petty cash purchases and settle accounts periodically
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of fixed assets and buildings
• Prepare and submit job-related reports to the supervisor
• Perform other related duties as assigned
