Médecins du Monde (MDM) France is a campaigning medical organization committed to international solidarity. For more than 30 years, MDM has been caring for the most vulnerable populations at home and abroad, highlighting obstacles to healthcare access and securing sustainable improvements in health-for-all policies.

MDM operates in 44 countries across all continents, focusing on four priority areas:

• Caring for the health of migrants and displaced people
• Promoting sexual and reproductive health
• Harm reduction associated with drug use
• Emergency and crisis response

MDM has been operating in Ethiopia since 1986, implementing various health projects ranging from long-term interventions to emergency response. Current initiatives focus on access to primary health care, reduction of maternal mortality, sexual and reproductive health rights, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), and malnutrition reduction.

Job Summary

The psychologist will be based in Hudet Woreda of the Somali region and will provide mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) to individuals and communities. The position focuses on conducting psychological assessments, delivering interventions, and offering ongoing support for a range of psychological concerns.

Key Responsibilities

The psychologist will work closely with the team to support vulnerable populations through evidence-based mental health and psychosocial interventions.
