Job Summary

The Logistics & Procurement Intern supports logistics and procurement activities at the Addis Ababa office, assisting with supply chain management, vendor coordination, asset tracking, and office operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support supply chain activities including planning, sourcing, transport, shipping, warehousing, and asset management
• Apply distribution control techniques to optimize stock levels
• Support procurement processes in accordance with organizational and donor policies and procedures in a transparent, accountable, efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner
• Negotiate prices and propose new suppliers for validation
• Track vendor contracts and work closely with user departments to ensure effective and efficient implementation
• Support timely vendor payments by submitting all required documentation in accordance with schedules
• Track all organizational equipment and assets
• Support monitoring of inventory and assets to verify condition and proper use of property
• Assist in planning office management needs, including purchasing of office supplies
• Support safety and security tasks as assigned
