Junior Accountant - Nikalt Furniture PLC, Addis-Abeba

About the Role

Nikalt Furniture PLC is seeking a competent and energetic Junior Accountant for our head office in Addis Ababa. This entry-level position involves fundamental accounting tasks including data entry, invoice processing, and financial record keeping. The ideal candidate will have basic accounting experience and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare credit purchases and vendor payments according to scheduled timelines
• Process cheque payments for all purchase requests in compliance with company policy
• Serve as liaison between vendors, ERCA, and other stakeholders
• Support delivery of transfer letters, collection bank advice, and invoices
• Capture and input data into the accounting system
• Handle and administer petty cash
• Verify invoice sequencing before posting transactions
• Prepare daily plans and activity schedules
• File and maintain financial documents
