About The Role
We are seeking a qualified Human Resources Manager to join The Ultimate Insurance Brokers in Addis Ababa. This role is central to our organization's success, overseeing all aspects of human resources management, from recruitment and talent development to employee relations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing
- Plan manpower needs in coordination with department heads
- Oversee job postings, shortlisting, interviews, and selection processes
- Ensure smooth onboarding and induction for new employees
Training & Development
- Assess training needs and develop annual training plans
- Organize orientation programs, workshops, and career development initiatives
- Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness
Performance Management
- Implement performance appraisal systems and guidelines
- Ensure objective performance evaluations and follow-up feedback
- Support managers in setting KPIs and developing improvement plans
Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee payroll accuracy, leave management, and employee benefits
- Ensure compensation practices comply with company policies and labor laws
- Conduct salary reviews and support budget planning
Employee Relations & Culture
- Maintain positive employee relations through effective communication
- Manage grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures
- Promote a respectful, safe, and inclusive workplace culture
- Promote employee engagement, wellbeing, and mental health programs
Compliance & Policy
- Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures
- Ensure the company complies with labor laws and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
Strategic HR Functions
- Contribute to HR strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Support organizational structure reviews and workforce planning
- Use HR metrics and analytics for decision-making and reporting
- Prepare monthly and annual HR reports
- Maintain HR information systems (HRIS) and confidential records
- Manage HR budget and resource planning
