Construction Supervisor Korem Project

Position Overview

The Construction Supervisor oversees daily construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining quality standards and compliance with MSF protocols and procedures. This position serves as the main link between contractors, subcontractors, and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the day-to-day implementation of building and rehabilitation activities, ensuring compliance with MSF standards, protocols, and procedures
• Analyze construction and rehabilitation needs according to customer requirements and MSF programs, and report to line management with recommendations for appropriate and efficient solutions
• Plan and allocate resources (financial, technical, material, and human) to meet project needs
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction and rehabilitation work in progress, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and technical specifications are met, and identify potential deviations early
• Negotiate agreements and permissions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders for construction and rehabilitation projects
• Establish regular contacts with local authorities to ensure all required documentation is completed and delays are avoided
• Organize and supervise tender processes (architect offices, company tendering) to secure the best technical and financial conditions
• Plan and supervise human resources processes, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of Maintenance Agents
• Ensure adequate staffing levels and knowledge capacity for construction activities
• Supervise and lead the logistics team, defining individual tasks, conducting daily supervision, and maintaining quality standards
