Bottling Shift Leader (Raya)

About the Role

As Bottling Shift Leader at BGI Ethiopia, you will coordinate, organize, and supervise day-to-day shift operations in the bottling and packaging department. You will be responsible for the efficient, safe, and effective allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials, and systems) to produce products according to BGI quality standards and expected machinery performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign personnel, accomplish work results, establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules, resolve problems, and report results
• Lead, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day operations of team members
• Ensure team members understand and adhere to operational, quality, and process standards, work instructions, schedules, work practice deployment plans, and performance targets
• Manage the packaging process, applying company rules, standards, and procedures
• Review shift performance in Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety Management
• Carry out all required administrative tasks in support of the production team
• Plan allocation of team members to specific autonomous maintenance tasks
• Initiate creation of emergency work orders and provide input into completion
• Monitor process and product parameters, ensuring respect of specifications
• Ensure sampling plans are applied by packaging operators
• Review process control sheets for mechanics, electricians, and operators
• Collaborate with the technical department regarding manpower during maintenance dates
• Maintain housekeeping to the highest standards in the Packaging Department
• Inspect and confirm regular plant performance during shifts
• Lead all preventive and corrective maintenance and repair works
• Ensure all necessary repair history documentation is properly recorded
• Verify the line is ready for maintenance and starts up on time post-maintenance
• Ensure team members carry out required autonomous maintenance tasks and running repairs in accordance with work instructions and maintenance schedules
