About the Role
Kifiya Financial Technologies seeks a qualified Associate to support our Learning, Adaptation & Knowledge Management efforts. Working under the Manager – Learning, Adaptation & Knowledge Management within the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Learning (MERL) Department, you will help translate evidence into usable learning, adaptive actions, and well-organized institutional knowledge. Your contributions will ensure that learning is documented, accessible, and used to improve programs and inform organizational decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Learning & Adaptation Support
- Support implementation of learning and adaptation plans across programs
- Assist in organizing and documenting:
- Pause-and-reflect sessions
- After-Action Reviews (AARs)
- Quarterly and thematic learning reviews
- Capture learning questions, insights, and agreed adaptation actions
- Track implementation of adaptation decisions and follow-up actions
Development of Learning & Knowledge Products
- Support development of learning and knowledge products, including:
- Learning briefs and synthesis notes
- Thematic insight summaries
- Program reflection and adaptation notes
- Assist in synthesizing findings from monitoring data, evaluation results, research studies, and field and partner feedback
- Ensure learning products are clearly written, evidence-based, and action-oriented
Learning-Driven Research Support
- Support the Manager in learning-driven and adaptive research activities
- Assist with literature reviews and desk research
- Support tool development and data collection
- Perform basic data cleaning and analysis
Position Details
- Department: Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Learning (MERL)
- Reports To: Manager – Learning, Adaptation & Knowledge Management
- Duty Station: Addis Ababa (with periodic field travel)
- Employment Type: Full-time
The position holder will perform or lead any other related tasks as assigned by the Manager.
