Reach The Needy – Ethiopia (RTN-Ethiopia) is a child-focused, community-based, non-profit, non-religious, and discrimination-free indigenous humanitarian national organization. We work to help deprived, excluded, and vulnerable children become productive, confident, and responsible citizens, parents, and leaders of tomorrow who directly contribute to the country's development.

RTN-Ethiopia implements development and humanitarian programs in partnership with ChildFund, CARE Ethiopia, PLAN Ethiopia, and UNICEF. We have recently partnered with PLAN Ethiopia to implement a Sponsorship project intervention in Sidama Region (Dara Woreda Kebeles) and South Ethiopia Region (Wolaita Zone, Boloso Sore Woreda).

Position Details

Location: Addis-Abeba, Ethiopia

Number of Positions: One

Required Qualifications

• BA Degree in Accounting or Accounting & Finance
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance & Administration Head to ensure all project expenditures align with approved budgets, donor guidelines, and organizational financial and procurement policies and procedures
• Process all financial vouchers by attaching relevant supporting documents including invoices, receipts, application letters, and payment requests
• Verify primary financial documents for accuracy and completeness; ensure payment requests are approved by authorized personnel
• Code, post, and analyze financial transactions
• Supervise the cashier and control petty cash balance and cash receipt vouchers
• Maintain stock records for the finance department and reconcile regularly with bin cards
• Reconcile the organization's books of accounts with bank statements monthly and prepare regular reports
• Ensure all unused official documents and vouchers are properly registered and available in sufficient quantity
• Participate in annual budget preparation and Area Strategic Plan development
