IDH Cameroon is looking for an Program Manager

About the Position

IDH Cameroon is seeking a dynamic and practical Program Manager to join our team in Yaoundé. In this role, you will spearhead the development, rollout, and oversight of programs within the assigned business unit, ensuring compliance with partner and donor contracts while upholding IDH goals and processes.

Key Programs

You will prioritize two complementary programs in the IDH Landscapes Business Unit portfolio:

• Green Commodity Landscape Program: Unites public, private, and civil society stakeholders to co-create actions safeguarding forests, boosting sustainable agriculture, and uplifting farmer livelihoods in the Grand Mbam landscape.
• EUDR Program: Eases European Union Deforestation Regulation rollout via national coordination and landscape pilots for farm data collection and cocoa traceability.

Main Responsibilities

Program Development and Implementation

• Guide strategy design, development, and execution, emphasizing landscape collaboration and EUDR adherence.
• Produce concept notes, technical guides, and action plans tailored to program needs.
• Oversee technical delivery to align with organizational aims.
• Forge proactive alignments and synergies across IDH and external landscape projects.
• Mitigate risks by leading corrective actions when gaps or issues arise.

Team Management

• Direct consultant teams to achieve program targets.
• Enhance team skills, steering priorities and goal achievement.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Cultivate relationships with key players, including local and national governments, private partners, farmer groups, and NGOs.
• Rally multi-stakeholder groups for joint efforts, including meeting and workshop facilitation.
• Advocate for IDH in national and global forums.

Financial Management

• Handle program budgets with strict oversight and policy compliance.
• Spearhead fundraising initiatives to support program objectives.
