## Title: Educational Officer

Good Neighbors, founded in Seoul in 1991, operates across 51 countries including Cameroon as a premier humanitarian and development NGO. We champion child wellbeing through community-driven solutions delivering sustainable child protection outcomes. Our integrated interventions span education, WASH, health, food security, livelihoods, and environment to foster thriving children and communities. In Cameroon, we partner with UN agencies, bilateral donors, and international NGOs for enduring humanitarian and development impact.

Project Context

This position supports KOICA Phase 2: "Advancing children's education access through enhanced education, WASH, and child protection services in Cameroon's East Region." Funded by KOICA and implemented with UNICEF and key stakeholders, this project strengthens local governance and systems for improved essential service access among vulnerable groups. The initiative targets education, child protection, WASH, and social services in the East Region's Lom & Djerem and Kadey Divisions.

Position Details

  • Title: Educational Officer
  • Duty Station: Batouri, East Region, Cameroon
  • Coverage Area: Batouri and Ngoura Subdivisions (Kadey Division)
  • Reports to: Assistant Program Manager
  • Contract Type: Fixed-term (CDD), 1 year renewable based on performance and funding

Role Purpose

The Educational Officer oversees education intervention delivery and monitoring under KOICA Phase II, ensuring equitable access to inclusive, safe, and quality learning for vulnerable children, including refugees and host communities. Working collaboratively with local education authorities, municipalities, schools, and communities, the officer will strengthen education systems, boost enrollment and retention, and integrate community-level services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute education activities at community and municipal levels
  • Establish and support Community Mechanisms for education delivery and accountability
