EVIHDAF is a global research and development group headquartered in Yaoundé, Cameroon, covering West and Central Africa. We operate an office in Niamey, Niger, and a Data Unit site in Parakou, Benin. Through precise, flexible, innovative, and locally attuned strategies, we offer services in Health Program Implementation and Scale-Up; Research, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (RMEL); Data Systems for Decision-Making; and Capacity Strengthening. We act as a Regional Hub coordinating initiatives across West and Central Africa. Core areas cover Health and Health Systems, Nutrition and Food Security, Climate Change Preparedness and Resilience, and Population Migration and Displacements.

Position Overview

EVIHDAF and partners seek a seasoned Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) and Workforce Development Lead for a forthcoming Global Health Security (GHS) project. The HSS and Workforce Development Lead delivers high-level guidance to secure enduring GHS capacity sustainability and integration.

Reporting to the Project Director, this role partners with Ministries of Health (MoH), National Public Health Institutes (NPHIs), and academic bodies to forge independent health systems for threat prevention, detection, and response. It calls for exceptional adaptability and prowess in driving institutional changes amid challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership in HSS and Governance

• Guide creation and execution of the project's HSS and workforce plans, matching Bilateral Agreements on Global Health Cooperation and National Action Plans for Health Security (NAPHS)
• Support institutional strengthening initiatives with partner organizations
