Plan International recruits 01 Senior Compliance Manager

About the Role

The Senior Compliance Manager is part of a cross-functional project team responsible for quality implementation of complex, multi-million dollar grant-funded projects. This key role provides oversight and analysis of the financial health of assigned projects and portfolios while ensuring compliance with donor requirements and achievement of revenue targets. The Senior Compliance Manager will also provide leadership to a team of Compliance Managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial oversight to a portfolio of projects (predominantly in West and Central Africa) funded by governments, multilateral organizations, foundations, and corporations
• Deliver financial inputs for project work planning and budgeting
• Ensure appropriate setup for project finances and reporting
• Work with project teams and partners to obtain accurate and timely project financial information
• Review and ensure accurate project financial reporting for management and funders
• Ensure projects are audit-ready and in compliance with funding agreements; lead project audits
• Build team understanding of project finances and compliance risks, enabling solutions and risk mitigation strategies
• Lead process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated success developing costing models and budgets at the project design stage
• Experience with risk assessment and mitigation for large proposals
• Financial management experience with large-scale international projects, including project risk management
• Proven track record working with diverse international development funding agencies
