Registered Nurse/Midwife (Experienced)

Position Overview

A dynamic healthcare team is expanding and seeking an experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife to join our Maternity/NNICU ward. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing comprehensive, quality nursing care to all patients. You will report to the Maternity/NNICU Ward Unit Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform weekend duties as scheduled
• Provide a safe, clean, and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors
• Utilize supplies and equipment in an economical and efficient manner
• Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure quality patient care
• Maintain accurate records at all times
• Serve on relevant departmental committees as required
• Supervise and evaluate the quality of patient care through regular patient rounds
• Assist with the coaching and mentoring of junior staff within the unit

Minimum Requirements

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/Midwife
• Diploma in Midwifery or Advanced Midwifery
• 3–5 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse/Midwife in a Maternity/NNICU ward within a private healthcare facility
• Proficiency with computer systems
