Incentives (MICE) Consultant

A leading inbound tour operator specializing in Southern Africa, including South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Incentives Consultant (MICE) to join our Cape Town Southern Suburbs office. This role will focus on managing, growing, and developing the department while providing outstanding customer service and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all event enquiries (existing and new leads) in an accurate, appropriate, and timely manner
• Supervise and support the MICE staff
• Ensure proper execution of all MICE events to customer satisfaction and within budget
• Oversee all event proposals in line with company brand standards, including creativity and alignment with core values
• Ensure all bookings, passenger details, logistic information, internal notes, and supplier notes are updated on systems
• Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation and records

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years' experience in MICE, with 2+ years in management preferred
• Experience managing overseas incentive groups travelling to Southern Africa
• Excellent domestic, regional, and international travel experience
• Solid knowledge of Southern African countries and experience working with European clients
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills
• Project management and negotiation skills
• Creative and innovative thinking
• Strong maturity and professionalism to manage programs on the ground with customers
• Full proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Excellent understanding of MICE trends and technology
• Minimum Matric qualification required
• Post-Matric commercial qualification is advantageous

Compensation

Highly negotiable salary based on experience and current earnings.
