Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Geotechnical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience to join our dynamic team in Durban North. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations, analyzing soil and rock behavior, and providing engineering solutions for a variety of civil and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations including soil sampling, field testing, and data collection
• Perform geotechnical analysis and design for foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and earthworks
• Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, specifications, and recommendations
• Review and interpret geological and geotechnical data
• Provide technical support during project planning, design, and construction phases
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in geotechnical engineering
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation design, and geotechnical software
• Experience with site investigations and laboratory testing procedures
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
